Wheel of Fortune Slot Jackpot Winners

Since IGT’s introduction of Wheel of Fortune slots in 1996, more than 1,000 people have become millionaires playing the game.

There are over 30 Wheel of Fortune slot titles for gamers, and some of these are Double Diamond, Triple Diamond, Five Times Pay, Ten Times Pay, and Red, White & Blue. In the history of slot gaming, no other slot game has produced winners with life-changing winnings.

In January 30, 2017, a New Yorker won close to $1.2 million playing a progressive WOF slot. Two weeks prior, another $1.2 million was won on MGM Grand’s WOF Double Diamond.

A $5 bet on a Wheel of Fortune Pink Diamonds at the McCarran International Airport resulted into making a very lucky woman named Sandra Dublin richer by $1.6 million in August 2017.

IGT’s website has a list of about 215 Wheel of Fortune jackpot winners. In September 16, 2017, a slot player hit the $1 million jackpot on a $1 Wheel of Fortune slot machine. A few days later in September 20, 2017, an anonymous WOF slot player became $1.3 million richer.

In October 28, 2017, anonymous player won close to $1.3 million playing $1 WOF slot. In December 9, 2017, an anonymous player won $1.4 million playing $1.00 WOF slot In December 17, 2017, another WOF slot player won $2.8 million on a $5 WOF slot.

Just recently, two slot players from Green Valley Ranch Resort and Palace Station guest each won at a Wheel of Fortune slot machines with a $1.25 bet. The former won over $440,754 while the later won $215,747.

But these winnings are nothing compared to the $8.3 million won by a certain Brunhilde C. back in June 2013! The slots in play was the progressive Wheel of Fortune Megabucks. Fondly called the “one-armed bandit” of slot machines, this slot has a history of churning out multi-millions worth of jackpots!

IGT typically pays progressive jackpot winners with lump sum payments that are less than the actual jackpot won. Winners do have the option to get the total won prize paid out in yearly installments for a number of years.

To date, the 22-year-old Wheel of Fortune genre slots have paid over $3 billion in jackpots.
