It is not every day that a huge jackpot is won by a slot player in Las Vegas. However, the first weekend of the month of June proved to be lucky for at least two fortunate slot players in Las Vegas. The weekend came out to be lucrative and definitely satisfactory for these two as they hit the jackpot while playing Wheel of Fortune, IGT’s very popular slot game, at two different casinos.

IGT’s spokesperson said that the two charmed players chose to remain anonymous. A wise decision if they wish to keep their huge winnings a family secret!

Arizona Charlie’s Decatur in Charleston Heights in Las Vegas was where Saturday’s big winnings occurred. The lucky slot player chose IGT’s Wheel of Fortune Lucky 7s machine. This is a $1 progressive game that resets at $1 million each time the jackpot is hit. That Saturday’s big progressive win was at $1.67 million – quite an enormous amount of money won by playing slots!

The next day, Sunday, Wynn Las Vegas on The Strip was host to another lucky slot player who hit the jackpot of IGT’s Wheel of Fortune Triple Hot Ice Game. The player is now about $343,000 richer. The progressive slot’s bet is only $0.25 and resets at $200,000.

The providential weekend essentially kicked off on Friday, when one player won $400,000 at the 100 Play Triple Double Bonus video poker located at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. That very fortunate player was dealt four Aces, hitting the jackpot uncontested. According to the hotel’s spokesperson, the winner chose to remain anonymous,

Just so you know, the jackpots were all paid by IGT- the game developer, as in the case of the first two winnings. The host casinos will directly pay winners but the funds come from the concerned game developer. Depending on the casino, winnings are paid on the spot in one installment. In the case of IGT, they offer to pay progressive jackpot winners a lump sum that is less than the actual cash won by the player. Another option is for the winner to receive his winnings in full but on a yearly installment basis over a certain number of years.
